Desperation

Have you ever been helpless? Walking back and forth between life and death with your hands tied in the face of an unstoppable force? It took only 70 seconds for everything you had to be taken away from you? And while all this was going on, did you make your body a shield for your children so that their bodies would suffer less, so that they would not get hurt when they died? I've had all of these. The earthquake I experienced in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023 took everything I had from me and I closed my eyes and waited helplessly for the moment I would die. Maybe I'm not dead, but when I look at the life I'm living right now, I'm not really alive. I am desperately trying to build my ruined life and the future of my children.
